Steve Burt becomes a rock star when he gets behind a podium and reads, and I mean that in the best possible sense.

So here's what I did last night: the Hoof & Mouth Sinfonia 2002. You can listen through the RealAudio link on that page. I sang "How I Wrote 'Elastic Man'" and played bass on 11 other songs (and got drafted in to do last-minute backing vocals on a couple of things). Highlight, listening to it now: probably Hova Najarian singing "A Minha Menina" (and the arrangement of "Jaan Pehechan Ho" worked out okay--well, we got from one end of it to the other). Lowlight: my attempt to do the falsetto harmonies on "What A Fool Believes." Personal favorite part: playing "Strokes of Genius," with Pseu Braun singing.
